“Be prepared to feel stunned, outraged and maybe hopeful after watching Below the Belt - the most powerfully moving documentary I've ever seen.” - Helena on IMDb

Endometriosis affects one in 10 women and people with cycles, and yet, it remains one of the most under-diagnosed, under-researched, and misunderstood female health conditions. It’s currently estimated that up to 60% of people with the condition go undiagnosed and therefore untreated. We can all change that through awareness and empowered self-advocacy.

About Below the Belt

As four patients urgently search for answers to mysterious symptoms, Below the Belt exposes widespread problems in our healthcare systems that disproportionately affect women. From societal taboos and gender bias to misinformed doctors and financial barriers to care, the film reveals how millions are silenced and how, by fighting back, we can improve healthcare for everyone.

"We deserve to be believed. We deserve to be understood. We deserve to be empowered to understand ourselves, our bodies and any medical treatments presented to us." - Rosario Dawson, Executive Producer

It’s not in our heads

For many of us on the team at Clue, Endometriosis Awareness Month is personal. In a world where female health conditions and pain are so routinely ignored and dismissed, Clue exists to make invisible, hard to articulate experiences visible, quantifiable, and actionable.

This is why we’re putting data to work for good through our initiative to close the diagnosis gap, to help inform research for faster diagnosis for conditions like endometriosis, and many more.

Find out more about how you can help by joining the movement with some simple taps in your Clue app here.

*NOTE: Registration for this screening is on an external site managed by Below the Belt. It is not linked to your Clue account.
